Delete Your Blend Account

This page explains how to delete your account in Blend – Dating, Reimagined (published by 17816600 Canada Inc.), and exactly what happens to your data when you do. You can delete your account yourself at any time — you do not need to contact us first.

Option 1: Delete your account in the app

  1. Open Blend and sign in.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Tap Settings (the gear icon).
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm when prompted. Deletion begins immediately and cannot be undone.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in, email contact@tryblend.app from the email address on your Blend account with the subject line DELETE ACCOUNT. We will verify that you own the account and complete the deletion for you. We aim to action these requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

  • Your profile: name, age, photos, intro video, bio, prompts, and identity/relationship details
  • Your account and sign-in credentials
  • Your matches, likes, and conversations, including your messages
  • Your encryption keys and registered devices
  • Your partner links and polycule connections
  • Your events, RSVPs, agreements, vouches, and trust score
  • Your emergency contacts, date check-ins, and any sexual-health records you stored
  • Your uploaded media files (profile photos, intro video, and chat attachments)

Your profile stops being visible to other users immediately.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Profile information: deleted within 30 days.
  • Messages: may be retained for up to 90 days for safety and legal compliance.
  • Anonymised analytics: data that is not linked to you may be retained indefinitely.
  • Safety and legal records: if your account is subject to a legal hold, an active investigation, or a report of serious harm (including child-safety reports), the related records may be retained for as long as required by law or to protect our community.
