Common Questions

How do I delete my account?

Open Blend and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Your profile is removed from public view immediately, and your personal data is deleted according to our Privacy Policy. If you can't access the app, email us and we'll delete your account on request.

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your account email. We'll send you a secure link to choose a new password. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder or contact us.

How do I verify my profile?

Profile verification adds a checkmark to your profile and increases your trust score. Open Blend and go to Profile → Verify, then follow the prompts to take a verification selfie. Verification usually completes within a few hours.

How do I block or report a user?

On any profile or in any chat, tap the ... menu in the top right and choose Block or Report. Blocked users can no longer see your profile or message you. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours - usually faster.

How do I manage my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). To cancel, change, or view your subscription:

  • iOS: Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → Blend
  • Android: Google Play app → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Blend

If you experience a billing issue, contact Apple or Google first since they handle payments. We're happy to help if you get stuck.

How do I change my location or distance?

Go to Settings → Discovery → Location to update where you want to see matches from, and adjust your maximum distance. Location permissions can be changed in your phone's settings if you'd like to switch between precise and approximate location.

How is my privacy and data handled?

Messages are end-to-end encrypted, photos are stored securely, and we never sell your data. You can request a copy of your personal data or ask us to delete it any time - see our Privacy Policy for full details.

Safety Resources

Your safety matters more than any match. Below are the safety features built into Blend, plus general tips for dating in the ENM community.

Date Safety Tips

  • Video chat before meeting in person to confirm the person matches their photos.
  • Tell a trusted friend where you're going, who you're meeting, and when you expect to be home.
  • Meet in public for first dates - coffee shops, parks, restaurants.
  • Arrange your own transportation so you can leave whenever you want.
  • Keep your phone charged and accessible.
  • Limit alcohol on first meetings, and never leave a drink unattended.
  • Trust your instincts - if something feels off, it's okay to leave.

In-App SOS Button

If you ever feel unsafe, the SOS button (accessible from any screen via your safety shortcut) will quickly notify your designated emergency contacts with your location and a customizable message. In life-threatening emergencies, always call your local emergency number (911 in North America) first.

Emergency Contacts

Add up to three trusted people as emergency contacts in Settings → Safety → Emergency Contacts. They can be notified when you start a date check-in, when you trigger SOS, or if you don't check in safely after a date.

Date Check-Ins

Before heading out, start a date check-in from the app. Set the time you expect to be back, choose who gets notified, and Blend will quietly check on you. If you don't confirm you're safe, your contacts get a heads-up automatically.

Reporting Issues

Reporting a User

If a user is harassing, scamming, or otherwise violating our Community Guidelines, report them in-app from the ... menu on their profile or in your chat. Include as much detail as you can. Our team reviews reports within 24 hours.

Reporting Content

To report a specific message or photo, long-press the content and choose Report. We'll review and remove anything that violates our guidelines.

Reporting a Bug

Found a glitch? Email contact@tryblend.app with:

  • Your device type and OS version (e.g., iPhone 15, iOS 18)
  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened instead
  • A screenshot or screen recording, if possible

Urgent Safety Concerns

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first. Then email us at contact@tryblend.app with the subject line "URGENT SAFETY" so we can prioritize.

Account Recovery

If you can't sign in:

  • Use the Forgot password? link on the sign-in screen.
  • If you signed up with Apple or Google, sign in with that same provider.
  • If you've lost access to your email, contact us with as much identifying info as you can (registered email, approximate sign-up date, last known display name) and we'll do our best to help while keeping your account secure.

We will never ask for your password. If anyone claiming to be from Blend asks for it, report them.
